Why are there so few images of clients on your sites?

Here's our philosophy

We have been extremely reluctant to post images of client progress on our socials, because we believe there are many possibilities for how that information could be used in the future. We also don’t believe it is within our remit to decide when someone under 18 should share their therapeutic journey, or even share that they attended music therapy at all. It could lead someone in the future to ask why they attended, which may lead to sharing unwanted personal details, or influence stigmas or opportunities for that person.

In several cases, we are aware that a family has referred a second family to our services – so in that instance it would be immediately recognisable to each other, (even if identities are obscured), and we believe children should be able to keep their privacy until they’re old enough to decide. The image you see to the left is a stock image of an actor.

So if you’re wondering why we have so few action shots compared to some other therapists, that’s the reason: we want you to control the information that’s shared about you, and we think children should make that decision once they’re old enough to know what it means.
